Automotive Electrical Repair at Your Location
Modern cars are rolling computers. When circuits misbehave — flickers, drains, dead accessories — we bring the test equipment to the car instead of the other way around.
Electrical Gremlins, Hunted Properly
Automotive electrical faults — dead accessories, batteries that drain overnight, lights with a mind of their own — are the most misdiagnosed repairs in the business, because you can't fix what you can't see. Finding the actual open circuit, chafed wire, or failing module takes methodical testing, and mobile service brings that testing to where the fault lives.
We diagnose with a wiring-diagram-first approach: multimeter and scope testing at the circuit, voltage-drop checks across connections, and parasitic-draw measurement for batteries that mysteriously die overnight. Then we fix the fault — properly soldered and sealed, not taped and hoped.
Common Electrical Complaints We Fix
If any of these sound familiar, the circuit is telling on itself:
Battery Drains Overnight
A parasitic draw is pulling power while the car sleeps. We measure and trace it.
Flickering or Dim Lights
Poor grounds and corroded connections show up here first.
Dead Accessories
Power windows, outlets, heated seats, wipers — usually a fuse, relay, or broken feed.
Repeat Blown Fuses
A fuse that keeps blowing is protecting you from a short we should find.
How Electrical Diagnosis Works
Reproduce & Measure
We confirm the symptom and test the live circuit — voltage, ground, and load.
Trace to the Fault
Wiring diagrams and systematic testing isolate the exact wire, connector, or component.
Repair It Right
Soldered, heat-shrunk, and sealed repairs that survive Utah winters — no twist-and-tape.
Why Mobile Works for Electrical
Faults Live at the Car
Intermittent problems are famous for hiding at the shop. We test where the problem happens.
Time to Do It Right
Tracing wires takes patience. No rack-time pressure means no shortcut diagnoses.
Honest Scope
If a fault needs dealer-only programming, we say so and hand over our findings.

FAQs
My battery dies if the car sits for a few days. Can you find out why?
Yes — that's a parasitic draw, and it's a bread-and-butter mobile diagnosis. We measure the draw, then isolate it circuit by circuit until we find the module or accessory that isn't going to sleep.
Can you fix aftermarket wiring problems?
Usually. Aftermarket stereos, alarms, remote starts, and trailer wiring are common sources of shorts and drains. We can repair the installation properly or remove it cleanly.
How is electrical diagnosis billed?
On diagnostic time, quoted upfront with a not-to-exceed cap before we start. What that buys is the fault found correctly the first time — instead of a parade of guessed parts that never quite fix it.
Can you repair wiring damaged by rodents?
Usually, yes — rodent-chewed harnesses are surprisingly common along the Wasatch Front, especially for cars parked outside in winter. We repair the damaged section with soldered, heat-shrunk splices and can wrap the area in rodent-deterrent tape to discourage repeat visitors.
My problem comes and goes. Should I wait until it's constant?
No — an intermittent fault is a loose connection or chafed wire that hasn't finished failing, and heat, vibration, and moisture will finish it at the worst possible time. Catching it while it's intermittent is the smaller, simpler repair.
